How do I participate in School-Lab?

To take part, you will need to:

  1. Create a group of 2-5 members with your classmates.
  2. Pick a scientific subject by yourselves or with the assistance of a mentor or your professor.
  3. Present your subject in a creative and comprehensive way within 3-5 minutes.
  4. Take a video or your presentation, video phones can also be used.
  5. Upload your video on School-Lab's webpage.

What is a mentor and how can s/he help me?

A mentor is a young, talented scientist, finalist of the Famelab contest for the Communication of Science. Famelab was created at the Cheltenham Festival and is organized every year by the British Council in more than 20 countries. All mentors will act as guides throughout the program's duration and will pay visits to schools in Greece's highly populated cities (Athens, Thessaloniki). Students, along with the mentors' assistance, will be able to develop their subject while getting exposed to scientific research methods.

School-Lab's final step

All students must upload their videos on the website's platform by Wednesday March 11th 2015, at 23:59. The uploaded videos will be evaluated by a jury's committee. Students can vote for their fellow students videos' from Thursday March 12th to Tuesday March 17th 2015, at 23:59.

The jury's committee consists of important and renowned personas of the scientific, educational and cultural society.

The best videos teams will participate in School-Lab's pre-final where the first 3 teams will be awarded!
